Nisha Jalmi, MS (she/her) currently resides in Oakland, California and works as a Vocational Rehab Counselor. Nisha is an intercountry, transracial adoptee from Goa, India. In 2009, she embarked on an international search to reunite with her birth mother. A few years later, her journey back home was featured in the documentary, YOU FOLLOW: a search for one's past .

After the nationwide tour of YOU FOLLOW, Nisha became a public speaker, group facilitator, adoptee advocate, and published writer for PACT: An Adoption Alliance. She continues to share her personal evolution and work by other adoptees at TheAdopteediary.com.

Nisha later realized how her experience of family separation intersected with animal rights, which has led her to live a Plant-based/Vegan lifestyle to combat not only animal cruelty, but also, racism, the current climate crisis and food injustices. Nisha’s passion for adventures and education sparked her commitment to invest in traveling the world with dear friends or alone on the open road. With the current travel restrictions, she has made time to listen and heal without distractions. Nisha values The Universe, herSELF, Mother Nature, personal growth, and new experiences.

Crystal J. Ocegueda is a local Chicago artist, passionate about all things art. She draws inspiration from her emotions, which drive the colors she uses, the shapes her hands develop, and the clarity of the object she creates. The fundamentals driving her vision comes partly from the creative side of her corporate retail experience, from working in apparel product development for most of her career.

Crystal’s experience in textile print design is expressed and translated through the beautiful and vibrant art she creates. These last ten years have propelled her to a whole new world of technical skills and design. There is so much gratitude for the constraints that have come through her experience in the world of corporate retail as it continues to drive creativity and artistic freedom in her work.

In this conversation, Crystal shares her multi-cultural views, philosophies, artistic flare, and love for life. She walks us through the life transitions and experiences that have allowed her to express herself so freely. Take a little dive into Crystal's mind through this uplifting conversation!

Michele was born in New York City and moved to Colorado because of her Fathers business at a very young age. Her entire life has been about corporate relocations and has moved 11 times through her own career. She spent majority of her career in the Health Industry, going to Johnson & Johnson straight out of college. They were hiring women in the work force outside of administrative roles and believed athletes would be a “fit” into their culture. She was a downhill ski racer and became 1 out 6 of women to be hired by that company.

Her career took off due to her desire to be successful. The company trained her and kept her accountable throughout her time there. She evolved through her transitions as she was guided and advised by Executive Business Coaches that encouraged and reminded of her strong abilities to succeed.

Michele has always believed in herself and has made a career out of uplifting and believing in others. She strongly believes that you teach what you have been shown, through your experiences. Her career has now spanned over 4 decades of basic principles that still and will always rule the way we achieve success. Define what that means to you, make an agreement with yourself that you are worth it and never take anything personally. You are the Creator of your reality. With that said, CS introduces you to the beautiful Michele Consigli Foster.
